A version change is routine, but which version an apprentice sits under is not.
Permanent Modular Building Assembly (unit) at Level 2 is now at version 1. Level 2, delivered as a unit, maximum funding £3,200, reference AU0001, currently at version 1.
Recorded change: Updated to version 1.
A new version typically revises the knowledge, skills and behaviours, the assessment plan, or both. Apprentices already on programme continue under the version they started on, and the funding rules that apply are those in force on their individual start date.
What to do about it: confirm which version each cohort is recorded against in your MIS, because you may be delivering two versions of the same standard side by side. Check whether the assessment plan moved with the version — where it did, your assessment organisation will need to be working to the revised plan. And read the change against Construction and the built environment as a whole, since versions often move in batches when a regulator or sector body updates its own requirements.
